Ano Syros is a protected historical settlement. Wander through its Cycladic alleys, climb up to the Catholic Church of San Tzortzi and stand in the square with the bust of the great Greek composer of rebetiko and folk songs, Markos Vamvakaris. From here you will see Ermoupolis panoramic view.
A magnificent area, in Ermoupolis, consisting of majestic mansions overlooking the Aegean Sea! There is also the imposing church of Agios Nikolaos, the patron saint of the island.
You will find it everywhere in many flavors and aromas and it is unique. Loukoumi used to be the dessert that never lacked in any Greek home and even today it is still the perfect accompaniment to a good, traditional Greek coffee.
